This desktop unit combines three instruments in one enclosure: a 2-channel digital oscilloscope for viewing signal timing and shape, a 4.5-digit true-RMS multimeter for standard voltage/current/resistance readings, and a signal generator for feeding a known test waveform into a circuit — three tools that would otherwise take up three separate spots on a bench.
The two oscilloscope channels display simultaneously, which lets two signal points be compared directly against each other in time rather than checking one, then the other, and trying to remember how they lined up. The screen renders both traces in color with on-screen controls for time-base and voltage scale.
Because all three functions share one small desktop chassis, this unit suits a home bench or field-service kit where full-size standalone bench equipment isn't practical, without giving up 2-channel capability the way a single-channel pocket scope would.
