Mini Bench Power Supply

This bench supply outputs an adjustable DC voltage and current, dialed in with front-panel controls and confirmed on a digital display before it's applied to a circuit — a meaningful upgrade over powering a project from a fixed-voltage wall adapter that offers no adjustment or feedback.

Short-circuit protection shuts the output down automatically if a project draws excessive current from a wiring mistake, protecting both the supply and the circuit under test rather than letting a short cook a component or trace. The current limit can also be set intentionally low as a safety margin while testing a new circuit.

The compact footprint is sized for a workbench without taking up much space, and the binding post outputs accept standard banana plug leads or bare wire ends, connecting directly to a breadboard's power rail or a project's input terminals.
