Heat Shrink Tubing Kit

Heat shrink tubing slides over a wire splice or connector and shrinks tightly around it when heated, insulating the joint and adding strain relief in a way that electrical tape can't match over time — tape loosens and unwinds eventually, while heat shrink stays put. This kit covers a range of diameters, from thin enough for a single small wire up to sizes that fit over a bundled connector.

The tubing uses a 2:1 shrink ratio, meaning it shrinks down to about half its original diameter when heated, which gives enough range to fit snugly over connections of slightly varying thickness without needing an exact diameter match ahead of time. A heat gun or a lighter held at a safe distance both work to activate the shrink.

Colors are included alongside the standard black, useful for wire identification in a project with multiple similar connections — coding one circuit red and another blue, for example, makes later troubleshooting faster. Everything is organized in a labeled storage case sorted by diameter.
